Lemur Love and Learning Thru lemurs
During the 2014-2015 school year, a wonderful 6th grade teacher named Ms. Robin Lee developed a program called "Learning Thru Lemurs." Ms. Lee aims to include relevant and purposeful content into her curriculum in order to excite students and teach them the importance of being global citizens.
One of Ms. Lee's students' activities included a fundraiser in which they made and sold Lucky Lemur popcorn. Lemur Love used the funds generated by the Lucky Lemur popcorn drive to purchase school supplies and hold environmental education events for 100 school children in the village of Mangily, Madagascar.
We were so excited to have been included in Ms. Lee's Learning Thru Lemurs program and to be able to share her teaching resources here. We hope that more classrooms will learn through lemurs and are happy to help yours get started!
